Mods and CC can totally transform your game and bring the challenge to life. But just like any powerful tool, they come with a bit of responsibility. Always make sure your computer can handle what you're adding (some of these are chunky bois 👀), and keep your mods updated, especially after patches. Broken mods = broken saves = heartbreak.
Most importantly: Back up your saves. Like, for real. Put them in a safe little folder outside your Sims folder—cloud, drive, USB stick, enchanted relic... just somewhere external. You’ll thank yourself later.
To keep tabs on mod updates, I highly recommend using Scarlet’s Mod List, which is basically a lifesaver during patch season and tracks most of the mods mentioned here.

Note that these mods are NOT required to complete the challenge. Rather, this is a fairly extensive list of the mods I either currently have in my game or like to pull in for specific gameplay or aesthetics during a specific time period. If a mod is required or recommended to complete a generation, I have outlined that in the rules.
